Our safe and seaworthy dive boat “WALL-NUT” is bringing you to the best dive and snorkel sites
Grand Cayman has to offer. She is a 25’ Dusky recently customized, refit and painted. This facelift
in August 2010 not only made her easy on the eyes but she is one of the most comfortable boats
around. We’ve got plenty of dry storage, shade, ice water and snacks on every voyage. Her quiet
and efficient Yamaha 4-stroke engine keeps our prices down while still getting us diving the walls
and reefs of Grand Cayman without any delay. Oh, and don’t forget to bring your I-Pod or MP3
player, we got a rockin sound system so you can jam your tunes and not ours!Captain / DiveMaster Chris
Chris loves diving, plain and simple. Snorkeling and diving has been part of his life for over 20
years. He has been urged by many, even other dive professionals to take a different career path so
that he wouldn’t have to work the rest of his life and retire at a reasonable age. That is definitely
NOT the path Chris chose. Completing his DiveMaster course in Deerfield Beach, Florida in early
2002, he began working part time on charter boats and assisting with teaching on the weekends.
Family vacations often brought him to Grand Cayman and several other Caribbean islands and he
would always try to find a way to get left behind. One day he decided to leave his “oh so happy” job
at a car dealership in south Florida for the last time and make his move to Grand Cayman. Chris
completed his PADI Open Water SCUBA Instructor in July 2004, found a job, and never left. He has
worked for a couple operations over the years and has learned how to make sure we maximize
your diving adventure. Because of many requests by friends and a few of the thousands he has
dove with over the years, Chris finally convinced Kelly it was time to open Cayman Turtle Divers.
Jellyfish a.k.a. Kelly
Kelly’s search for Chris began in Thailand in 2004 while she was studying Thai massage. Learning
to dive while she was there, Kelly realized that wherever she lived next would have to be an average
of 50 degrees warmer year round unlike her native British Columbia, Canada. Moving to Grand
Cayman not only had great weather and sea conditions year round but really buff and tan
DiveMasters working on the beaches daily. Kelly currently holds a PADI Rescue Diver certification
and one day…..maybe…..she will finish her DiveMaster course.
Daisy
Introducing our most faithful crew-member Daisy, an ocean going salty sea dog. When Daisy isn’t
helping divers on WALL-NUT she enjoys walks along Seven Mile Beach chasing rocks, digging
holes and surfing waves. Not to forget chasing Frisbees and chickens at the park (Cayman Islands
Yacht Club) are also top favorites!
DiveMaster Stuey Palmer
Hailing from England (not bloody Australia!) Stuey has always had a passion for the ocean, as a child it was almost impossible to get him out of the water and in his younger days was a keen surfer, traveling all over the world in search of that perfect pipe to ride. During an 18month back packing adventure around the world in 1995/1996, Stuey discovered diving for the first time at the Great barrier reef in Australia. He was instantly addicted. The next 8 years were spent in an office, daydreaming of warmer shores than his native Somerset and on each of the many overseas vacations (diving of course) he was always envious of "that guy's job". It was on a trip to the Bahamas that he decided it was time to realize his dream and take the leap of faith of a MAJOR lifestyle change. So in early in 2005 Stuey found himself pulling his fins from the back of his closet and heading out to dive Grand Cayman crystal blue waters. Oh and he was getting paid for it too! Nearly 7 years later he has never looked back.
Stuey's all-time favorite Grand Cayman dive is the incredible and unforgettable Stingray City. He considers himself a bit of a Stingray City dive specialist introducing guests to not just Stingrays but all the other friendly critters that live on the dive site. Stuey looks forward to welcoming you to the Island and assisting you aboard Wall nut.
Oh and to all you lucky ladies…He is SINGLE!!
